Warehouse Position at Valley Companies

The Warehouse position plays an important role in the success of the company. Warehouse employees will operate well maintained forklifts for most of their day. Work is consistently made up of loading and unloading trailers along with other assigned duties such as keeping the warehouse clean and organized. Essential Functions:

• Independence, professionalism, and interpersonal skills
• Organization and time management skills
• Dependable and able to work in a team environment
• Ability to communicate effectively and receive instruction
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize work
• Forklift and non-motorized pallet jack operation (able to train)
• Perform operation and safety checks prior to using all equipment
• Proper handling of hazardous materials as it pertains to bills of lading, freight bills, placarding, employee training, and accidents
• Quick learner of all things VC (Valley Companies)

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of warehouse experience (preferred)
• Pre-employment drug screen
• Basic computer and Microsoft Office literacy skills (preferred)
