Job Description

An opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support elementary students in an engaging learning environment. This role focuses on designing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet the unique needs of students requiring specialized support. The position is a contract role for the current school year, based in Puyallup, WA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver tailored instructional strategies to accommodate diverse learning needs.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to create inclusive classroom settings.
  • Monitor, assess, and document student progress toward academic and behavioral goals.
  • Adapt curriculum materials and classroom activities to meet individual student requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with all state and federal special education regulations.
  • Foster a positive, supportive, and structured atmosphere that encourages student growth and development.

Qualifications:

  • Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
  • Experience working with elementary-aged students.
  • Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
