Job Description

A contract position is available for a Special Education Teacher at an elementary school located in Everett, WA. This role focuses on providing specialized instructional support to students with diverse learning needs during the upcoming school year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each students unique requirements
• Adapt classroom instruction and materials to meet the varying abilities of students with disabilities
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote inclusive learning environments
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records of academic performance and behavioral observations
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to ongoing student assessments

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification or licensure
• Experience working with elementary-aged students with various disabilities
• Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with educators, parents, and specialists
• Ability to create engaging and supportive lessons that foster student growth and development
