The hourly rate for this position is $22.15-$37.50 per hour.

Eaton’s Enterprise Sector Distributed Energy Resource Management Solutions (DERMS) Center of Excellence is seeking a highly motivated Software Engineering Intern in our Moon Township, PA location.

As a member of the Distributed Energy Resource Management Solutions (DERMS) Center of Excellence (CoE), you will collaborate with experienced engineers to develop cutting-edge software that supports the energy transition and enhances energy management. This role offers hands-on experience across the full software development lifecycle, helping you strengthen your coding, problem-solving, and teamwork skills while contributing to impactful, real-world solutions.
Essential Functions:
• Collaborate with engineers to design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code under the guidance of a mentor.
• Participate in code reviews and team meetings.
• Assist in debugging and troubleshooting software issues.
• Contribute to documentation and technical specifications.
• Learn and apply best practices in software engineering.
Basic qualifications:
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Go, Python, Java, or C/C++.
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Eagerness to learn and take initiative.
• Access to transportation to our Moon Township, PA office.
