This role will be based in one of our US Mercer locations. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. Lead Pharmacist (PBM) Consultant The Lead Pharmacist (PBM) Consultant position is a critical new addition to our Pharmacy Benefits Management practice. This role involves significant external and internal interaction with clients, Mercer consultants, and other resources, with the goal of establishing Mercer as the preeminent consultant regarding all issues related to pharmacy. We will count on you to: Act as the lead strategic pharmacy advisor for a group of select mid-market and national accounts, managing overall service delivery, strategy, financial evaluations, plan design review, contract renewal, business placement, and benchmarking. Identify current provider performance gaps and make recommendations to control spend and trend. Upsell Mercer pharmacy solutions. Leverage Mercer’s size and reputation to negotiate highly competitive pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) contracts. Lead successful regional and national marketing pursuits. Delegate effectively to provide developmental opportunities to team members. Provide mentoring and coaching to project team members. Manage day-to-day account/project management for key MercerRx clients. What you need to have: Bachelor of Science degree. Minimum of 10 years of consulting or other relevant experience in the pharmacy managed care industry. Superior analytical, strategic planning, communication, and listening skills. Office-based teams will identify at least one “anchor day” per week on which their full team will be together in person. The applicable base salary range for this role is $132,500 to $265,000. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
