Job Summary The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a federal work study student in the Music department on the Dahlonega campus. The Audio/Video Recording and Production Assistant will record live performances both on and off campus as assigned, set lighting for performances, assist with and facilitate A/V needs and setup in performance venues, and assist with general upkeep of the performance and technology spaces. 5-10 hours/week; must be able to workdays, evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities - Recording Music Department events at both on and off campus venues.
- Editing/producing audio and video recordings for archival and distribution
- Assisting with A/V and lighting needs for Music Department performances and events.
- Assisting with general upkeep of performance and technology spaces.
- Assisting with development and posting of social media posts
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities - Must be able to stay calm and friendly in busy, stressful situations delivering excellent customer service.
- Must have a functional knowledge of audio and video recording principals and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Must be able to appropriately set lighting for performances.
- Knowledge of Canva, Facebook and Instagram
Required Qualifications - Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker.
